Screen shot of what a board looks like

  1. At any Feed Point, multiple Feed Point board can be pinned by one or more curators. ①
  2. Each board organizes categories of relevant materials, including expert analysis, background, commentary, misinformation alerts, or even paywall-free summaries. ②
    • Curators can customize messages for one or all of their Feed Points. ③
  • Expanding a Curator or Forwarder reveals more about them, including their reasons for forwarding. ④
  • The Menu Bar provides action buttons and controls for filtering and displaying content. ⑤
  • Links are pinned to categories and categories can be configured with preset actions. ⑥
  • Clicking any pin reveals who added it. ⑦
  • Users can contribute to the Feed Point or create their own. ⑧

How this might work–requiring only changes on the front end (theme components) and no plugin

  • Every topic is (potentially?) a board. Perhaps only topics with a “Board” tag will be rendered as boards. Or maybe only topics in a Group’s Board Category can be boards.

Each board organizes categories of relevant materials, including expert analysis, background, commentary, misinformation alerts, or even paywall-free summaries. → Each board topic includes linked topics that have a tag like: expert-analysis, background, commentary, alerts, summaries

This is starting to work, yes. Should we chat chat about the approach in posts, or use chat for back and forth? When do you prefer?

It’s a tough call. At least sometimes, doing it in a reply will provide the context required to tell what we’re talking about.
